PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discharge lamp lighting apparatus which adjusts dimmer lighting, and can irradiate manuscripts with white light without color unevenness, at manuscript reading with the color scanner. SOLUTION: The light receiving cycle signal of the manuscript reading light receiving sensor, is received by the reverse circuit 14 to drive inverter driving IC 13. The inverter driving IC 13 output the designated repeating cycle pulse signal which is synchronized to the light receiving cycle, and drives switching element 12. As a result, voltage having repeated wave form is generated at the secondary side of the transformer 11 to lighten the fluorescent lamp. The integrated light quantity of each color at each light receiving cycle, is made constant, and to eliminate color unevenness, by lighting the fluorescent lamp by driving cycle which is synchronized to light receiving cycle of the light receiving sensor, and to decide the rise point by above mentioned driving cycle. |
