PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital signal branching filter and a digital signal multiplexer that are not affected by interference due to a loopback signal and by distortion due to a joint between filters. SOLUTION: Let a sampling speed of an input signal to a 2-branch filter bank be fs and four kinds of filters whose pass band includes the fs be A, B, C, D in the order of lower frequencies, then the 2-branch filter bank is a 1st 2-branch filter bank including either of the filters A, B or a 2nd 2-branch filter bank including either of the filters C, D. The 2-branch filter bank is connected so that a next stage of a signal passing through the filter A is the 1st 2-branch filter bank, a next stage of a signal passing through the filter B is the 2nd 2-branch filter bank, a next stage of a signal passing through the filter C is the 1st 2-branch filter bank, and a next stage of a signal passing through the filter D is the 2nd 2-branch filter bank.
