PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metallic antenna element for simplifying the working process of a shape to be applied, and for sufficiently developing a drop and rotation preventing function. SOLUTION: In this metallic antenna element 10 for a portable telephone set whose top end part is integrally molded through a resin mold member with a helical antenna part, plural continuous projecting and recessing parts 12 and 14 are formed at the both sides of the longitudinal directional axial center of a top end part 11 so that a drop and rotation preventing function can be applied. The plural continuous projecting and recessing parts 12 and 14 are constituted so as to be made asymmetrical to the longitudinal directional axial center. Also, small dent parts 13 and 13 symmetrical to the longitudinal directional axial center are formed at the both sides of the edge part of the region where the projecting and recessing parts 12 and 14 are formed.
