PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple and reliable method and apparatus for determining the vehicle drivability of an automobile which can be tested on a roller test stand. SOLUTION: In the method and apparatus for evaluating vehicle drivability, a first sensor 5 obtains a rotational speed signal from the drive system of an automobile or from a roller test stand, and a speed sensor senses the longitudinal acceleration of the automobile. Connections with the first sensor and an acceleration sensor are made and signals of the sensors are processed and integrated together to produce an addition signal, from which a parameter representative of the vehicle drivability of the automobile is computed.
