PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the measuring time of a leak measuring instrument from being extended by high pressure accumulated in a pressure chamber connected to the subject of measurement. SOLUTION: A piston P provided in a cylinder C partitions the inside of the cylinder C into one pressure chamber 2 and the other pressure chamber 3, and the amounts of leaks from a circuit, i.e., the subject of measurement, are measured from the amount of movement of the piston P when the one pressure chamber 2 is pressurized. The piston P is provided with a check valve 9 permitting circulation only from the other pressure chamber 3 to the one pressure chamber 2.
