PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce cost of a swash-plate-angle control mechanism in a hydraulic continuously variable transmission and to compact it. SOLUTION: An automatic swash-plate-angle control valve 61 comprising a solenoid proportional valve is jointed to a hydraulic servo mechanism 6 to constitute a swash-plate-angle control mechanism in a hydraulic continuously variable transmission 1 having the hydraulic servo mechanism 6 for controlling a swash plate angle. The swash plate angle can be operated by a manual operation of an operation lever 20 or electronic control of the solenoid valve. Both the manual operation and the electronic control can be used.
