PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a remote receiver to recognize a cause to a transmission fault of abnormity information from a remote supervisory device for a facility. SOLUTION: When a fault detection section 2 of a remote supervisory device 1 detects a fault of the facility, the fault detection section 2 connects a line to a remote receiver 8 and transmits abnormity information to the remote receiver 8. When the abnormity information cannot correctly be sent, a precedence fault cause storage section 5 stores its fault cause data. Then, the fault detection section 2 transmits the stored fault cause data attached to fault information on the succeeding transmission of the fault information.
