PURPOSE: A shift control apparatus of a continuously variable transmission is provided to reset RPM(Revolution Per Minute) and torque of a motor or a gear, and to check the state of power train by converting the rotating state of the engine with a small electronic control unit. CONSTITUTION: A shift control device of a continuously variable transmission is composed of a continuously variable transmission unit(40) receiving rotational force of a motor part(10) to turn a gear; plural power train units(51,52) connected to left and right parts of the continuously variable transmission unit to transmit rotational force to a shaft; plural hydraulic shift units(61,62) receiving rotation from the output end of power train units, and turning the gear for shifting; torque detecting sensors(21,23,24) connected to power train units and hydraulic shift units to output an electrical signal by detecting torque; and an electronic control unit(30) inputting electrical signals from torque detecting sensors, and shifting the gear of the continuously variable transmission unit according to program. Torque and RPM of the motor or the gear are reset with changing rotation of the engine. Power transmission is checked with controlling continuously variable speed change.
