PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for mounting components by which the configuration of the station's side can be simplified, the time for selecting a suction nozzle can be increased and a high-speed mounting can be performed with advantage. SOLUTION: With respect to the component placing method, by which a mounting head provided with plural nozzles which can be switched between operation position and waiting position, is moved by intermittent rotation over a fixed path, a component is sucked by the suction nozzle which is selected and is switched to a prescribed component-mounting position and the sucked component is mounted on the board, when the mounting head is stopped at the component mounting position, when the mounting head is stopped at one station before the component supply position, operation for placing the previously selected suction nozzle back to the waiting position and operation for switching the suction nozzle selected for sucking the next component to the operation position are performed simultaneously. |
