PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high display quality color liquid crystal display device at an inexpensive cost applicable to a display device for electronics. SOLUTION: Luminescent colors of liminous bodies are made to be displayed on the screen by composing a light source for a backlighting part of a color liquid crystal display device 9 of a red illuminant R, a green illuminant G, and a blue illuminant B, making the number of outputs of a scanning part for outputting display color signals coincide with the number of colors to be displayed, arranging a plurality of outputs to be sequentially outputted, making one of the respective outputs synthesize the colors to be displayed by driving the illuminants, making the others turn on the liquid crystal of all the pixels to be displayed in the luminescent colors from the illuminants, and transmitting the light emitted from the luminous bodies through the liquid crystal as they are. |
