PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid electrolytic capacitor which can avoid increase of impedance between respective layers of a cathode layer and has a small impedance between an anode and a cathode, and a method of manufacturing it. SOLUTION: An anode lead 11 is embedded in one of the walls of a sintered unit 10 of valve action metal powder, such as Ta powder. A dielectric layer (oxide film) 14 is formed on the outer surface of the sintered unit 10. A manganese dioxide layer 15 is formed on the outer surface of the dielectric layer 14. Furthermore, graphite layers 16 and 17 are formed on the outer surface of the manganese dioxide layer 15. The graphite layers consists of the water- based graphite layer 16 and the resin graphite layer 17 formed on it. A metal layer 18 is provided on the outer surface of the resin graphite layer 17 so as to form a capacitor element 1. |
