PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wide band ASE light source which contains 1550 nm band and 1580 mn band, at a high output with a small excitation power. SOLUTION: A reflector 5 and an excitation light source 7 are multiplex- connected to one end of an amplifying optical fiber 3, and also an output terminal and another excitation light source 6 are multiplex-connected to another end, to constitute a wide band ASE light source. |
