PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of designing a data path circuit which is high in degree of integration and capable of accurately verifying timing. SOLUTION: After a circuit is divided into lead cells in a step 2, the leaf cells are subjected to circuit modification for accurately extracting parameters for timing verification, by which the extraction of very accurate timing parameters is realized after the layout of leaf cells is designed. Even if the circuit conversion is impossible, the output drive capacity of signals inputted into the leaf cells or a load capacity connected to the output of the leaf cells is calculated, and timing parameters are extracted after a circuit which emulates the above calculation result is added, by which timing parameters of high accuracy can be realized. |
