PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrical power convertor capable of stably supporting a semiconductor stack using a vertical arranged heat pipe type cooler, fixing it and enabling a person to perform a maintenance and inspection work in an easy and efficient manner. SOLUTION: There is provided a semiconductor stack 1 in which a diode 2 acting as an electrical power semiconductor element and a vertical arranged heat pipe type cooler 3 for use in cooling this diode 2 are laminated to each other, and this laminated state is held by a press contacting means 4. The semiconductor stack 1 is stored in a main body frame 20 and supported by an insulating material 22 from below heat receiving blocks 6 of the heat pipe type coolers 3.
