PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To relieve a load on a user for its entry operation by simply and accurately setting a transmission mail address. SOLUTION: An address history storage control means 51 extracts a transmission destination mail address and a transmission source mail address from a header of a mail every time it is sent or received and stores them with its transmission reception date and time to an address history storage section 62 as a mail transmission history and a mail reception history. Then an LCD display section 9 displays any of the mail transmission histories and the mail reception histories by one depression of an 'address history' key 87 and by optional number of times of a 'cursor' key 82, and when an 'enter' key 86 is depressed in this state, the mail address in this display is set as a transmission mail address.
