PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas charging device which can reduce gas charging time. SOLUTION: A suction port of a compressor 5 having a plurality of compressing parts is connected to a gas take-in port 22a through a gas introduction pipe 22, which port 22a is connected to a fuel gas supplying source. A discharge port of the compressor 5 is connected to a gas supplying port 30f through a gas discharging pipe 31d, which port 30f is connected to a gas fuel tank. In such a gas charging device 1, the plural compression parts #1 to #4 can be changed over between parallel connection and serial connection so as to vary compression stages based on a gas charging state, such as gas charging pressure and gas charging amount.
