PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a computer for decoding a reversible code and a decoding method by the computer. SOLUTION: This computer is connected so as to transmit the data of a group from a data buffer to a register when this computer identifies an erroneous bit in the bit stream of the relevant data of the relevant group and to invert the order of bits in the relevant data of the relevant group by transmission from the data buffer to the register. Next, the computer transmits data from the register to the data buffer and the register is connected to the data buffer so that the bits of the data buffer can have the same order as the register. Thus, the computer for data processing for comparing and decoding the bit streams inverted in the order of bits up to the erroneous bit and a data processing method using such a computer are provided.
