PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain the power factor of a switching power supply circuit by the portion capable of dealing with its actual use conditions with respect to the fluctuations of its AC input voltage and its load, and suppress its ripple components. SOLUTION: To a power-factor improving circuit provided in the power supply circuit called a push-pull-form, switching-frequency-controlling-mode, and composite-resonance-type converter, the switching output obtained from its primary-side resonance circuit is fed back via a primary-side parallel- resonance capacitor and by an electrostatically coupling method or a magnetically coupling method.
