PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain the openings of visual field frames incorporated into respective eyepiece parts in a fixed state being symmetrical with respect to right and left in the case of adjusting an eye width in rocking binoculars. SOLUTION: These binoculars are provided with an attitude controlling mechanism 22 for positioning the center line 1804A of the openings 1804 of visual field frames 18 incorporated into right and left binocular barrels 14 always on one straight line L. The mechanism 22 consists of first and second rotation mechanisms 28 and 32. The mechanism 28 consists of the gear 26 of a central frame 16 and the gear part 2402 of the arm 24 of the barrels 14, and the right and left barrels 14 are rocked in mutually opposite directions at an equal angle and with a rocking axis 20 as a center. The mechanism 32 comprises the gear part 1604 of the frame 16, the gear parts 1806 of the frames 18 and a gear mechanism 30 for connecting these gear parts, and the frames 18 are rotated on the barrels 14 at an angle equal to a rocking angle of the barrels 14 with respect to the axis 20 in a direction opposite to it and with emitting optical axes 14C as a center.
