PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telephone system in which a user freely set a emission color of an incoming call indicating lamp and the intensity of the emission light at the arrival of an incoming call. SOLUTION: A user depresses each of ten-keys 151. A CPU 100 controls a lighting control section 170 to change the resistance of resistors connected to respective LEDs 131-133 of the incoming call indicating light according to the depressed keys so as to allow the user to set the color of the incoming call indicating light and the intensity of the light at the arrival of the incoming call. Furthermore, the user can light up the incoming call indicating light in the color set only to the incoming call from a specific caller.
