PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal fitting for a press connection terminal which can improve reliability of a conductive connection, by heightening the strength of a press connection part of an electric wire. SOLUTION: Two pairs of front and back press connection blades 20, 20 which are shaped, in such a manner that a pair of projected strips 21, 21 are bulged inwardly by bending right and left sidewalls 15, 15 inwardly are provided to a press connection part 12 of a terminal metal fitting 10. Flanges 25 are arranged at upper edges of the adjacent front and back projected strips 21, 21 and the sidewalls 15 provided between the projected strips, and each of the flanges is bent in a direction opposite to the bulging direction of the projected strip 21. Since the flanges 25 prevent the projected strips 21 from being crushed, when an electric wire W is inserted into the press connection part 13, appropriate contact pressure can be kept for a core wire M of the electric wire W, as a result, reliability of a conductive connection can be enhanced.
