PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas cooker comprising high heating power cooking stoves on the left and right sides in which cooking can be carried out surely in safety. SOLUTION: The gas cooker comprises a plurality of cooking stoves having maximum heating power of 3 kW or above and a user monitors the quantity of gas used in each cooking stove from the temperature detected through a thermocouple 15. A control board 8 for controlling general operation measures and monitors the time of cooking stove operating with current quantity of gas. When each cooking stove is operated for a specified time or longer with a specified quantity of gas, a gas quantity regulating section 11 makes switching automatically to a quantity of gas lower than the specified level. A gas interrupting time is determined for each range of current quantity of gas and a solenoid valve 9 interrupts gas supply automatically at that interrupting time based on the total operating time after ignition. When the quantity of gas is altered in the way of cooking, the interrupting time is prolonged to ensure cooking with no trouble.
