PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress vibration of a side rail of a steel-made combination oil ring. SOLUTION: A projection 8 for supporting the outer periphery 6a side of side rails 4a, 4b of a steel-made combination oil ring is formed each outer periphery 6a of an expander 6, and ratio of a circumferential length of the projection 8 to the entire periphery of the side rails 4a, 4b is more than 20%. Thus, interval between the projections 8 is short, a vertical constraint force of the side rails 4a, 4b increases, and deformation and vibration of the side rails 4a, 4b are suppressed, so that occurrence of abnormal noise can be prevented.
