The lower suspension spring support for a motor vehicle has a support ring (1) formed integrally with a fixed part of the suspension and-or the vehicle bodywork and having a downwardly depending lip. A ferrule (3) is mounted in the ring lip (2) and has a shoulder to support the lower coil of the suspension spring (4). An elastic ring (5) damps loads transmitted from the spring.
