<p>Sheets which can be shaped and bonded by heat are prepd. by (a) mixing hot a compsn. contg. 35-65 wt.% of vegetable fibres and 65-35 wt.% of a polyolefin; (b) sheeting the hot compsn.; and (c) while hot, powdering at least one surface of the sheet with polyolefin particles. Decorative coatings, esp. textiles, cellular plastics, wood veneer, or leather can be bonded onto the sheet. Prodn. of linings is claimed, esp. with polyolefin powder on only one surface and a cellular resin sheet, esp. a polyurethane foam, on the other surface. Such linings can be used for the interior of vehicles. No bonding adhesive is needed.</p> |
