PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a television receiver that eliminates initialization of an EEPROM before shipment so as to prevent setting error by initialization and improves the productivity. SOLUTION: The television receiver provided with a tuner circuit 2 that receives a signal in response to a desired channel selection frequency, a microcomputer 5 that controls the tuner circuit 2, and a remote control transmitter 11 that selects a desired station, is provided with a ROM 52 that stores in advance frequency data of channels to receive respectively a plurality of kinds of adjustment signals used in a factory mode at the production at the factory. The microcomputer 5 reads the frequency data stored in the ROM 52 by operating the remote control transmitter 11 in the factory mode to control the tuner circuit 2 so as to display the received adjustment signal onto a monitor 4.
