PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device which is capable of making pixels with high definition accur without incurring the increase of cost and is capable of preventing display failure from being generated. SOLUTION: This display device is constituted of a selection circuit 170 that a gate driving circuit is formed directly on a substrate and a signal line driving circuit 160 is also formed directly on the substrate and an IC for driving signal lines 511 which is mounted on a TCP(tape carrier package) and the switch SW1 of the selection circuit 170 successively connects input terminals 1A, 1B of signal lines X1, X2 to an output terminal OUT1 and driving signals are successively outputted to respective signal lines in a horizontal scanning period.
