PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for driving a light emitting display panel, capable of reducing useless power consumption without contributing to light emission. SOLUTION: A light emitting drive line corresponding to a capacitive light emitting element to be made to emit on a scanning line among plural scanning lines is specified based on an input video signal in a scanning period, then a 1st potential lower than a light emitting threshold voltage of the capacitive light emitting element is applied to the scanning line and a 2nd potential higher than the light emitting threshold voltage is applied to the other scanning lines other than the scanning line. A driving current is supplied to the light emitting drive line to apply a positive voltage not lower than the light emitting threshold voltage in forward direction to the capacitive light emitting element to be made to emit and a 3rd potential a little lower than the light emitting threshold voltage is applied to the driving lines other than the light emitting drive line. The 2nd potential is applied to all plural scanning lines in a reset period between individual scanning periods and a 4th potential equal to the 2nd potential is applied to all the plural drive lines. |
