PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tickets separation device which can release the blocking with tickets when they have blocked a separation mechanism part. SOLUTION: Upper/lower transportation belts 23 and 24 transporting tickets whose number is decided by a thickness detection sensor 6, a separation part making the ticket pass between a separation roller 17 and a feed roller 16 when one ticket is transported by the upper/lower transportation belts 23 and 24 and separating the tickets into respective tickets by the separation roller 17 and the feed roller 16 when the plural tickets are transported, a jam detection part 81 discriminating whether the tickets are blocked in the separation part or not and a control part 82 controlling the driving of the separation roller 17, the feed roller 16 and the upper/lower transportation belts 23 and 24 so that the tickets are sent into the separation part again after they are returned from the separation part when the jam detection part 81 discriminates that the tickets are blocked are installed.
