WIRE ROPE FLAW DETECTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire rope flaw detector having a convenient device itself, simple handling and a low cost. SOLUTION: A miniature wire rope flaw detector 1 moves a sensor 10 having a permanent magnet 11 and a sensor coil 12 along a miniature wire rope 40 to detect a strand disconnection or a wear fatigue of the rope 40. The detector 1 has a suitably strong magnet and a wire guide groove 13 for smoothly sliding the rope 40 in the sensor 10. In the case of moving the sensor 10 along the rope 40, the detector 1 prevents the rope 40 from being separated from the magnet 11 and the coil 12 by the magnet and the groove 13 and can stably detect a flaw without necessity of a clamp or the like for fixing the rope 40.
