PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easy-to-insert air micrometer having excellent wear resistance and ensuring a high accuracy measurement. SOLUTION: The measuring head 32 of a jet 30 for measuring the inside diameter is fixed, to the forward end part thereof, with a top guide 40 of a cemented carbide alloy having a diameter smaller than the outside diameter of the measuring head 32. According to the structure, the measuring head 32 can be inserted smoothly into a work 22 and wear of the jet 30 can be suppressed.
