PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for ultrasonically detecting a flaw capable of detecting the flaw with sufficient sensitivity, detecting with a variable opening width in response to a status, scanning to detect the flaw by generating a small unnecessary echo.
