PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the productivity of a liquid crystal display panel using a substrate having a rugged structure. SOLUTION: An organic film having azobenzene in a side chain or a principal chain of its molecule is formed on the substrate and the rugged structure is formed on the surface thereof by photoirradiation utilizing a mask. Since the rugged part is formed only by the photoirradiation, the productivity is enhanced.
