<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save space by integrating a loading brake mechanism provided on a winding reel base for tape loading and a lock brake mechanism used for tape reverse traveling into one mechanism in a magnetic recording/ reproducing device such as a VTR or the like. SOLUTION: A brake gear 7, a lock brake lever 8 and a slip mechanism therebetween are provided on a brake lever 9 turnably provided on a main base 19. During tape loading, the brake gear 7 is engaged with a winding reel base gear 16a, and the locking gear 8 is prevented from being engaged with the winding reel base gear 16a by an operation lever 11. During recording/ reproducing, the brake gear 7 is separated from the winding reel base gear 16a by the operation lever 11, and thus no unnecessary load is placed on the winding reel base 16a. During reverse reproducing (Fig. 3), the brake gear 7 is engaged with the winding reel base gear 16a, and the lock brake gear 8 is set free.</p> |
