PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcast receiver suitable for sufficient application for a viewer in simple configuration by organically improving an IC card for descramble processing and a control system therefor for more multi- functioning without damaging the function of a limited receiving system. SOLUTION: Concerning a digital broadcast receiver 21 for receiving digital broadcast data, which are transmitted after applying descramble processing, and reproducing these data on the basis of contract information and descramble key information recorded on an IC card 14 loaded on a card loading part 15, and provided with a control means 37, a semiconductor memory for data storage is built in the IC card 14 and in a control means 37, an interface means 39 for performing control so as to write or read data at least is added to the semiconductor memory inside the IC card 14 loaded on the card loading part 15. |
