PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide inexpensive electrodes of the plasma display panel with good quality of the electrode pattern, and apparatus and method for electrode pattern formation. SOLUTION: This invention relates to the electrode of a plasma display panel featured with film thickness larger in the middle part of electrode lines than in the periphery; and the apparatus for forming electrode pattern of the plasma display panel is equipped with a printing board with prescribed electrode pattern, rollers that paint a material to form the above-mentioned electrode pattern on the above-mentioned printing board, blanket rollers that copy the above-mentioned material from the above- mentioned printing board, a substrate mounting portion that mounts a substrate on which the above-mentioned electrode pattern is formed, and a transfer mechanism that relatively transfers the above-mentioned blanket rollers and the above-mentioned substrate mounting portion; and featured by possessing a mechanism to copy and form the prescribed electrode pattern on the above-mentioned substrate by sandwiching a material to form the above-mentioned electrode pattern between the above-mentioned blanket roller and the substrate mounted on the above-mentioned substrate mounting portion.
