PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intermediate transfer body which has excellent mechanical strength, is free from performance change by stress during use and may be industrially stably manufactured. SOLUTION: The intermediate transfer body having the functions to receive the transfer of toners, to transport the same to another place and to hold the toners before the transfer to a recording medium (A) has at least a polyimide layer consisting of polyimide as a main constituting material and (B) the polyimide layer contains polyaniline and a dopant capable of making the polyaniline conducting.
