PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device that unique and simple measures at against power failure is applied. SOLUTION: When the power failure is caused in the middle of processing to form an image on a photosensitive member 516 on which a latent image is recorded by exposure by thermally processing the photosensitive member 516 and processing members 532 and 534 in a laid-over state by a heating means 530, the processing to form the image on the photosensitive member 516 which has been processed is continued. Thus, the image is prevented from being lost, and the storage or the output of a desired image data is attained.
