PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microscope having binocular tubes whose beam splitter and prisms are easily manufactured and worked and which is easy to position when assembled. SOLUTION: A binocular tube has a first binocular tube arm incorporating a beam splitter for splitting a luminous flux from the objective lens and guiding one of the luminous fluxes split by the beam splitter to a first eyepiece, a first supporting means for rotatably supporting the first binocular tube arm by a support, a second binocular tube arm incorporating a prism and guiding the other of the luminous fluxes, which is split by the beam splitter to a second eyepiece, by the prism and a second supporting means for supporting the second mirror tube arm coaxially with the first supporting means and rotatably to the first binocular tube arm. The beam splitter is positioned in contact with the inner wall of the first binocular tube arm in the direction perpendicular to the rotary shaft of the first supporting means.
