SUBSTANCE: invention describes method of synthesis of disinfecting agent involving synthesis of guanidine hydrochloride by interaction of ammonium chloride with dicyanodiamide at heating, polycondensation of guanidine hydrochloride with hexamethylenediamine at heating and addition of water to synthesized polyhexamethyleneguanidine hydrochloride up to its concentration in solution 40%, not above. Then alkali is added to obtained solution and saponification reaction is carried out followed by separation of obtained polyhexamethylene-guanidine base, its washing off, addition of acid to the base and the following isolation of the end product. Polycondensation of guanidine salt with hexamethylenediamine is carried out for three stages. At the first stage reaction mass is heated to temperature 139 C, not above; at the second stage reaction mass is heated to 150 C, not above, and at the third stage reaction mass is heated to 180 C, not above. Saponification reaction is carried out at temperature 60 C, not above, and the base is washed off with alkaline metal chloride solution.
