PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for processing a silver halide color photographic sensitive material by which excellent solution stability is imparted to a solution having fixing capability (e.g. a fixing solution or a bleach fixing solution), the resulting image is made nearly free from stain (particularly cyan stain) and excellent aging stability (particularly magenta) is obtained and defective recoloring is also suppressed. SOLUTION: In the processing method, desilvering is carried out with a processing solution of pH 3-7 having bleaching capability and containing at least one iron (III) complex salt of an aminopolycarboxylic acid compound and a processing solution of pH 6.1-8.0 having fixing capability and containing at least one complex forming agent selected from a diaminosuccinic acid and/or a diaminomalonic acid each having a specified structure and an organic phosphonic acid. The latter processing solution of pH 6.1-8.0 may further contain a heterocycle-containing carboxylic acid such as pyridinedicarboxylic acid.
