PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve time efficiency and the thermal efficiency of melt processing. SOLUTION: A melting furnace is provided with a rotating cylindrical furnace body 1, on an edge of which is arranged a charging hole 11 for charging a melting material B into the inside of the furnace body 1 and a burner 4 for melting the melting material B by combustion heat, and on the other side of which is arranged a discharging hole 14 for discharging the melt processing substance to the outside of the furnace body 1. An exhaust path 13 through which the most of exhaust C passes is arranged on an edge side of the furnace body 1 and the opening of the exhaust hole 14 on the other side of the furnace body 2 is narrowed and arranged with an exhaust bypass path 6 through which a portion of the exhaust C passes.
