PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily configure a key telephone system of a small and large capacity at a low cost. SOLUTION: The key telephone system of a small capacity that can solely be operated is provided respectively with an extension interface connector section 8 and an AC power supply connection connector 9, each control section 61 of the small capacity key telephone systems 1 that are mutually connected via the extension interface connector section 8 act like slaves, an extension control section 212 that totally controls the interconnected small capacity key telephone systems 1, a time switch section 211 that controls speeches between the interconnected small capacity key telephone systems 1, an extension unit 20 with an extended power supply section 22 are provided, and a large capacity key telephone system is built up by using the interconnected small capacity key telephone systems 1 connected to this extension unit 20. In this case the extension control section 212 is used for a master and controls each control section 61 of the interconnected small capacity key telephone systems 1 as the slaves.
