SUPPORT FOR PHOTOGRAPHIC PRINTING PAPER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a support for photographic printing paper less liable to the permeation of a processing solution into a cut section in development and having highs strength. SOLUTION: The support for photographic printing paper contains at least a polyamide polyamine epichlorohydrin, an 8-30C alkylketene dimmer and a cationized styrene-acrylic copolymer in the base paper. The alkylketene dimmer is preferably contained by 0.2-0.6 wt.% of the amount of oven dried pulp and the content of the cationized styrene-acrylic copolymer is preferably 0.1-1.0 time that of the alkylketene dimer.
