PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector for metallic pipe, which will not impair the effective diameter of the metallic pipe and has no possibility of slipping off when sudden pressure is applied to the connecting part. SOLUTION: A metallic pipe 2 having the outside diameter of one end enlarged is provided, and a connecting main body 3 is so constructed that the shaft center part is provided with a through hole 7 to which the enlarged diameter part 6 of the metallic pipe 2 is fitted, male screws 8, 8 are provided on both end parts of the outer peripheral part, and both end parts of the through hole 7 are provided with taper holes 9, 9 gradually increased in diameter toward the shaft end. A fastening nut 4 has an annular regulating flange 13 bent in the direction of the shaft center at one end, and is screw-engaged with the male screw 8, and the inside diameter D1 of the regulating flange part 13 is formed a little larger than the outside diameter D2 of a small-diameter part 12 of the metallic pipe 2 and a little smaller than the outside diameter D3 of the enlarged diameter part 6 of the metallic pipe 2. A ring-shaped packing 5 is interposed between the taper hole 9 and the regulating flange 13.
