PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of a conventional document processor that has been complicated and has difficultly of miniaturization because the conventional document processor carries a document to read information and prints out the read information. SOLUTION: The document processor is provided with an optical section that emits a light from light sources 9, 10 to one side of a document 8 and leads the reflected light to a CCD sensor 14 through mirrors 12-15, carriages 17, 18 on which the mirrors are mounted and which are driven while keeping the length of the optical path constant, a moving mechanism to move the carriages 17, 18, a glass platen 7 on which the document 8 is placed, and a cover 4 on which a printer 3 is mounted, which prints out information read from one side of the document 8 onto the other side of the document 8. Thus, the information can be printed on the other side of the document 8 without moving the document 8. As a result, the processor is made small in size and can conduct its processing without soiling the document.
