PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To construct a detector by a method which is extremely effective in the inspection of a water quality or in the measurement of an object such as a cell or the like and by a method in which a porous membrane is formed on an electrode. SOLUTION: In this detector which uses an electrode A as a detecting means, a porous membrane 3 whose pores are larger than those of a target substance E and smaller than those of an interfering substance F is formed on the electrode A or near the electrode A.
