PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber plug which can reduce the number of parts and retain a secure engagement and waterproof property even when an electric wire is bent. SOLUTION: A rubber plug 10 can be secured in a cavity C without using another part by passing an electric wire W through it and engaging a projected engagement section 15, integrated with it, with an engagement hole section 16. When an electric wire is folded, the rubber plug 10 corrects bending by a cylindrical section 13 disposed on the side A of the edge of an opening of the cavity C, restricting the influence on a locking section 12 and a sealing section 11 and at the same time the engagement of the locking section 12 is not affected by slight bending of an electric wire. Therefore, even if an electric wire is bent, the rubber plug 10 keeps a secure engagement between the locking section 12 and the cavity C, while the sealing section 11 is held in firm contact with the inner wall of the cavity C and the outer circumference of the electric wire W.
