PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absence notice which enables a consignee returning home to immediately recognize the existence of delivery and can prevent the missing etc., by falling and wind. SOLUTION: A through-hole 2 slightly larger than the size of a handle of a door is formed in a suitable position in the upper part of an approximately letter-like substrate 1 made of cardboard in such a manner that the substrate may be freely set on or removed from the handle of the door. A cut opening 2a reaching the one outer edge of the substrate 1 from its side edge is formed in continuation with the through-hole 2. The suitable positions in the lower part of the through-hole 2 are provided with a message column 3 for stating the message to the consignee and a communication column 4 for stating the address of a delivery person etc.
