PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that a sealing section 3 of a liquid crystal display device 1 has the strength resistant to an external force inferior to that of other parts and the sealing section 3 tends to be often damaged because the sealing section 3 has been placed at a place to which the external force exerted from a front case 10 is comparatively often delivered depending on the configuration of a portable information terminal when the sealing section 3 is mounted on the portable information terminal. SOLUTION: The sealing section 3 of the liquid crystal display device 1 is placed in the vicinity of a battery pack 24 mounted on a rear case 16 of the portable information terminal and the rigidity of the battery pack 24 suppresses propagation of the external force from the front case 10 so as to protect the sealing section 3 from being damaged. Furthermore, ribs 10a, 23a acting like reinforcement members are placed in the vicinity of the sealing section 3 to suppress the external force coming from the front case 10 from delivering to the vicinity of the sealing section 3.
